Dr Nattai Borges is the Exercise Science Lead at the University of New South Wales and was previously the Program Lead for the Master of Exercise Physiology Program at the University of Newcastle. Nattai is an internationally renowned Exercise Physiologist and Academic and as a CRI Research Affiliate brings pragmatic expertise in the therapeutic use of exercise to improve health and physical performance.

Official role at CRI: Research Affiliate – Exercise Physiology.

What does that mean you do? I provide support and expertise from the exercise physiology sector to CRI. This role also lets me leverage and integrate my industry experience and collaborations into a larger multidisciplinary team. This allows me to contribute to innovative solutions for large societal issues.

What is your favourite part of your work? Working alongside intelligent and motivated people to create innovative solutions to help real people with real problems.

How do you look after your own health and wellbeing? I try to keep physically active and love spending time in nature such as the ocean and national parks. I also enjoy listening and playing music in my downtime.
